resistor?

my buddy just did a mod to his trans were he cuts a wire that goes to the trans and put in a 10ohm resistor and it bumps up the line pressure so when the trans shifts it doesnt slowy shift into get it goes right into gear and the shift is really firm and doesnt take forever. i was wondering if there was a way to do this on my trans 4R70W 97 F-150 4.6L he has a 95 bronco 351 with an E40D his was a yellow wire. if anyone knows anything about this any info would be awesome. alot of guys on his site do this and say its a cheap verison of a shift kid

Yeah, don't do that.

Or maybe do, I don't know. I get a LOT of business from these types of things. LOL

I am going to go on record as the one that said NOT to do this. Of course you can do as you wish.

You know that you can find me here when you need help on getting a rebuild for your transmission if you choose to use this though.

If you want to modify the line pressure and not damage things you can call Troyer Performance and get a custom tune that will do more than just that.
