What transmission do I have?

I have a 2004 F150 5.4 that is supposedly HD equiped. How do I find out the trans / gear ratio based on the VIN?

The label on the door has my tans as a "B", but the owner's manual doesnt have a "B" as a trans listing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trans and gear ratio are on the door sticker, not the vin. "B" is a 4R75E. What's the axle code?

H9 - so I am guessing that is a 3.55LS..?

How does this tranny and RE stack up in terms of "stock" components?

Pretty much stock, standard equipment for that year... What makes you think you have an "HD" equipped truck?

If it ain't got 7 lug hubs, then it's just your everyday, garden variety F150 and not "HD" equipped....

If it were HD, it would have 3.73's. You probably just have the stock factory towing package.
