Replaced 1-2 accumulator springs now what???

So my truck is still doing the 2x long shift from 1st to 2nd and then clunking into 2nd 50% of the time. I replaced everything in the 1-2 accumulator and did a full fluid change to full synth so what could it be now?

Any idea's would be great as this is driving me nuts??

Thanks Dave

I have not removed it but I know that the pan has been dropped before because the little plug was not there. What should I look for?

i was curious since some people have issues with improperly trq'd bolts. maybe dirty solenoid?

How can I check that? What else can go wrong with the 1-2 shift ? Every other shift is perfect...

the vb you'd have to loosen/trq the bolts correctly if theres nothing wrong with the gasket. the solenoid, well thats another matter, the solenoid pack retails from aftermarket for 45 bucks roughly. i'd wait for some input from more knowledgeable sources than me though.

It could be a couple of things, but from things you can do with a pan drop, I would start with the valve body too.

What should I check on the valve body? What are the other things to check while I drop the pan?

I'm in the same boat as u on this issue. I have a 05 5.4 that does the exact same thing you described so i changed my 1-2 accumulator springs and it didn't really do anything... what a frustrating issue
