Unhappy Klunk in 4 wheel drive

In dec I brought my 97 f1504x4 to dealer to have my 4x4 shifter linkage replaced and shaft rebuilt, Since then there has been a clunk that sounds like somone beating a drum when in 4x4. This only happens in 4x4 and when i accelerate. I have been back 3 times but the problem still there. They have been realy good about it though, assumed they are responsible and are trying to fix problem. any ideas would be helpfull.

I have the same prob with my 05 FX4......

I cant pin it. I have a new rear diff/LSD, all fluids changed on FD,RD, and txfer case.hmmm

It does it in 4Hi when I accelerate, I can be in loose sand and hit it and I hear a pop, the 4x4 seems to be working fine......
