Derale Cooler?

I have the chance to pick up a DERALE 15902 combination trans and oil cooler for $40. Since I'm going to have my trans re-built, I thought it might be a good time to change out the cooler. Would this be a good choice? I pull a 5,000 lb trailer several times a year, and drive the truck often in the winter.

Thanks for any input or suggestions.

Andy

Think about a cooler with an electric fan.

I don't think I really need to upgrade from the factory cooler, just thought for $40, it might be worthwhile, if nothing else, just to insure I have a good clean cooler again.

If you're not looking to upgrade, then think replacement w/ OEM part. But while you're at it, and it's the same amount of labor, it's always worthwhile to upgrade parts. Why not put something better in there?

Exactly the reason I'm considering the unit above, but I don't know enough about it to determine if it is applicable. I'll need to call the manufacturer.

$40 is no big deal, but OTOH, don't want to sink a bunch of money into something that's overkill if it's not needed.
