4R75E or 4R75W

What is the difference in these transmisions? I keep seeing my '08 Lariat (5.4L 4X4 SCrew) has a 4R75W, then I see it has a 4R75E. What do I really have? What is the difference in the two?

In all honesty...

Nothing different between them.

Some of the internals are stronger in the 4r75 than the 4r70.

Oh, absolutely.

There are no real differences between the 4R75E and the 4R75W though, other than what they are being called.

You're right. I misread the question.
