4R100 Tranmission leaking out breather...
I have a 2000 ford lightning. When it is at WOT it begins to leak out of the breather hole on the top of the tranny. Transmission isn't over filled. Transmission shifts fine, but coast selnoid or band is working. What else could cause it to do this. I need to rebuild the tranny? Maybe cracked case?

Are you talking about the overflow tubing that starts from rubber tubing that continues to metal tube facing downward?

It comes out of the top of the transmission with a metal hat on top of it right beside the sensor.

the 2wd does not have the tube coming off the vent...it just has the hat or "jiggle cap" on the vent.
