Tranny temps too cold?

I put a large aftermarket tranny cooler on and now my temps are at 120 degrees @70 degrees ambient temps. at 50 degrees it makes it up to 110.
I know heat is bad, however does too cold cause issues

I heard that if your operating temps are over 100 degrees you are OK. I have the same problem as you and winter is around the corner. I am interested to see if it will get above 100 degrees when it is very cold out. If not I will have add the cooler bypass I bought when I ordered the cooler.

I believe that it won't shift into OD or lock the torque converter if it's not at least 95 degrees. You may want to put a thermostatic bypass on that cooler.

yeah it wont go into OD if its too cold. my trans does that untill it warms up a lil bit. im intrested to see what my temps are going to be this winter with a new tranny and amsoil tranny fluid. and now i have my tranny temp gauge. on a day were it was about50-60 degrees outside the trans gauge never moved above 100 on the expressway at 70mph. the water temp was 160*

180* is perfect. I wouldnt want to run it lower than 125 really...

thanks. I am selling it soon anyway, so I may not see the winter temps. But good to know.
