Trans O/D blinking when hot

I have a 2003 Expedition EB 5.4L about 6 months ago my tranny O/D light started to blink and starting shifting strange (kind of slipping on occasion with hard shifting) I took it to the dealer and the ended up saying my tranny cooler was clogged. The flushed out the system and sent me on my way. Everything was working fine until now. Now the tranny O/D light started blinking again with the same symptoms (slipping, hard shifting, etc...). This only seems to happen when it is hot and the car has been running for a while. When it is cold (first thing in the morning) there is no problem - shifts fine. I am in Southern California so it doesn't take to long to heat up.

Any ideas before I take it back in???

Thanks for the help...

Problem Fixed

I seemed to have fixed my problem. I installed another tranny cool in line with the original cooler. I bought the Tru-Cool 4590 transmission Cooler and I have not had a single problem since.

the 4590 is a good sized cooler. i wouldn't say that you likely 'fixed' your problem, but it's a good patch. there will still be an underlying problem that shows up, if you can warm it up again. you should get the codes read.
