2001 F150 crew cab tranny shudders and slams into 1st and R

I bought this 01 F150 2 weeks ago ran great. The past couple of day I have noticed a shudder in the tranny but it went away after it warmed up. Today it did it aswell but when I would take off the truck would rev to around 2000 and then slam into gear. It also does it in reverse. Almost like the converter is not locking up until i get higher in the RPM's. If i put it into drive from park and take my foot off the brake it shudders and bucks untill i give it gas then it revs up and slams into gear. Also if i hold my foot on the brake and bring up the rpm's the truck won't load up Its almost like its not in gear and once it gets to 3000-3500 it slams into gear.

The tranny fluid is full and not burnt it looks perfect.
The truck has 65k on it

Has anyone had this happen or know anything about this?

Same or simular problem with my F150.

What did you do to fix this problem? Have you fixed this problem?
I have F150 1998 with 66,000 mi. My truck goes BAM when it downshifts or upshifts at higher speeds intermittantly. I also notice a slight bucking intermitantly while driving at all speeds and sometimes is starts shuddering also. All these problems are intermitant but the BAM is almost always there to some degree. Whats to try next?

Thanks for any reply.

Drained trany and torque convertor, replaced filter and refilled. No more problems. I did notice that it only took 12 quarts. Oops I guess I needed to drain radiator and lines to get it all. Thanks for the other posts on this forum!!
