Transmission Cooler upgarde??

I want to upgarde my stock transmission cooler, any one have any suggestions on a specific brand and model?

I'm hauling a 25 ft travel trailer and I just want to make sure I don't kill my tranny.

Why do you want to upgrade?? You didn't mention it, but have you had tranny problems?? Are you experiencing very high tranny fluid temps?? Your '04 has a very decent size cooler on it already...just a tiny bit smaller than the HD cooler I added to my '02...very efficient. Especially where it's placed.

Since you didn't mention it, I'm going to assume you don't have a temp gauge and don't have no idea what your tranny is currently doing. My suggestion based on that is get a temp gauge. Then drive your truck for a while, with the trailer, and learn your truck...find out what you really need. I think you'll find you don't 'need' a bigger cooler.

Yeah, I don't have a temp gauge for my trany. I supose it would be a great idea to get one. Would it hurt any to upgrade the tranny cooler regardless??? Like they say "It's better have it and not need it, then need it and not have it"

Sure...sounds good if you just can't come up with absolutely no idea on a better way to spend $200!!

Why don't you take the money you're planning on using for the cooler and get the gauge??

B&M Borg Warner LONG cooler

Basically all the same cooler with different names. I'm selling one on Ebay now It has BorgWarners and LONG's name on it, It's out of a B&M box. It's the bigest one they made measureing over 11"x 11.25" and it's the thick one, with 3/8" line in and out. I have the same user name on Ebay so do a search thru advanced search and it will come up. I only used it for a few months, it's like new.
