E4OD Rebuild. Now no overdrive

I have read several posts saying to check the overdrive servo piston engagement with the band, but does anyone have any other tips or ideas. I remember engaging the band, but maybe it came out. Any ideas would be appreciated. 97 F250 5.8L E4OD. Rebuilt and everything works great except overdrive. I counted shifts and I am getting 1-2, 2-3, but that is it. It also does not seem to have any engine braking.

1. Does the TCS "appear" to operate while driving in D? That is, does it turn the TCIL on and off?

2. Check for engine braking in manual 1st and manual 2nd and in reverse.

3. Check for engine braking with the lever in D and the TCS depressed so that the TCIL is ON (if it works - step 1).

4. Do you get any flashing of the TCIL when driving? If so, have you pulled fault codes?

There is no overdrive servo or servo piston on an E4OD. It uses an overdrive clutch, not an overdrive band.

There is an intermediate band, but that is only used when the shifter is in the 2 position. It has nothing to do with overdrive.
