06 4x4 funny feeling in 4 wheel drive

OK so we just had another good snow fall in Ohio and I used 4x4 HI for the 4th or 5th time since i've owned the truck. However this time it seemed really sluggish - almost like the wheels were 'stuck' and then the truck would go - also the front wheels almost seemed locked when I was turning around in my driveway (covered with snow). I had read in a prior post that there was a recal for some 2006's due to something being an issue with the 4x4 transmission - being that this is my first truck I dont know if this is normal or if i have a potnetial problem. I did check for tranmission leaks and evrything is solid (no dripps in snow).

not sure how sluggish it's acting, but mine seems to shift a bit later when in 4h. that makes sense to me because the engine is working harder.
as the front wheels feeling locked when turning tight circles, from what I hear all 4x4's do that. mine certainly does. I shift it back into 2h when parking.
