It's all done by the PCM. You might be able to find an aftermarket chip that can modify the shift points.

No chips that I'm aware of to change the EECIV computer to modify the shift points electronicly.

Gonna have to go inside the tranny and do valve body work.

You can't change when an E4OD shifts by modifying the valve body. The trans will only shift when the PCM tells the shift solenoids to change states. You'll have to modify the software to change when an E4Od shifts.

If the trans will upshift through all the gears, then the solenoids are working fine.

You didn't mention before that you just put a shift kit in. It's possible that something is wrong with that, which could screw up the shifting.

Has the truck always done this? Did it change recently? It could also be a bad sensor, maybe a throttle position sensor?
