Help with 2 trans codes

I recently brought a 2001 F 150 with 50k miles on it. Yesterday I noticed that the overdirve light was blinking. I pulled codes today and got 0712 temperature sensor circuit low input and 1783 transmission over temp condition. I am stationed in Germany. I don't know much about Ford trucks can some help?
