anyone from chicago/illinois area?

my transmission is shot and need to get it rebuilt.im looking for a good and reliable place that does transmission to have them rebuilt and bullet proof it.
its the R100 trans.
anyone know a good place in chicago/illinois/southside chicago area?
i need this thing done ASAP.
i got a quote from a transmission place around me(chicago ridge and they quoted me 1800 for parts and labor with a 12month/12000mile warranty.
the transmission place i checked out seems like a decent place and its been there forever tho ive never had any work done from them.
what do you guys think?

I used to live in the western burbs - I don't know about doing performance rebuilds but Tri City Transmission in Geneva is very well regarded.

Noob.......I grew up on chicago's SS........I would check out Turbine transmission at 87th and Pulaski........ Or try Turbo Terry in burbank........Or Vef-Ron, right behind the Dennys at 95th and 294.......in Bridgeview.

thankz for the suggestion but sylentbutvylent suggestions is alot closer to my place.ill keep that in mind tho just in case.

i live on the southside myself(chicagoridge) so im really close to bridgeview.ill check out those places.
you have any idea where is burbank is turbo terry located?
even major crossroads will be just fine.(phone 3 or website?)

I believe Terry's shop is over by Reavis High School......about 75th and Naragansett(sp?).........

just curious...did you ever had any work done from any of this places you mentioned?or any friends that had work done from them?
also...do you know if they do high performance transmission?
sorry for all the questions but i know alot of places that turned me down when i told them that the truck has custom tune and tuned for a supercharger and N2O.

turbine did the c4 in my 92 mustang, vef-ron did the trans in my old bronco 2 mud bogger.............so ya they do high performance. terry did my 69 firebird.

The only thing on 75th and naragansett is a park Terry s is located on 79th and state road
