4R75E Performance/Upgrade Questions

I just wanted to see if any of you could point me in the right direction to a better & firmer shift on my 07 F150 FX2 with the 4R75E 4-spd auto...

What is the best valvebody plate, converter, etc for this tranny?

My truck is already modded with a blower, exhaust, tune, etc...

ANY & ALL input is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for the input! Oh, this isn't the one that has smaller holes than some of the factory ones does it? I think I read that somewhere...

Do you or anyone you know/talk to have one? What have you heard about it?

Have you heard about transgo? I think that's another one...

Thanks for the help so far, and I'll keep checking back to see if you or anybody else posts...Thanks again

The holes that are smaller don't restrict clutch engagement. I can't go into specifics about the setup, but I can tell you it doesn't do what you think it does. I had my own plates made and then someone else pointed out the same issues and accused me of copying that plate, however it was purely coincedence.

Hi Alan, This is Steve-O! I sent you an email by way of referral before I even knew you were a member. Steve Dugan (1MTNCAT) from the MAMN12 forum hooked me up with your email address, so you have about this same question in your inbox... Kinda funny how that worked out...

Well thanks for the input here and if you want to respond to my email in more detail on what there is to offer please do so...

Thanks

why not just gat a CUSTOM tune and tell then you want the shifts firm. i know you can damn near get these trannys to SLAM shift with just tuning.

I already have a custom sct xcal 2 dyno tune by SGS automotive in dillsburg, pa... All that does is increase the line pressure & the shift points (I have the options left open so I can change the pressure, shift points, gears, tires, etc myself), but I'm still leaving potential on the table since you can only tell the cpu to do so much before you need to back it mechanically...

Thanks for the input. I know exactly where you're coming from.

The valve body and plate kit do the same thing basically and the plate kit is less money!

The 4R70W "USED" to need a valve body. But they came up with the "PLATE" which does the same thing. The plate basically replaces the OEM plate IN the valve body.I have a Factory Tech Shift Plate in my truck. I ordered it from Mike @ madenterprise.com

Thanks guys for the response. I search the internet today and found another forum that Greg Evans responded to another truck owner in which he informed him that for 2001 and up 4R70W trannys, he no longer waa producing the FTVB. The separator plate was the new mod.

I ordered mine from his web site today and received confirmation of my order via email this afternoon. I hope it performs as well as the FTVB in my other '02 truck.

Awesome! If it's good enough to become the new valvebody mod, I'm definitely looking forward to this new plate!

Looks like http://www.dirtydogperformance.com is a pretty good source too & his include a filter as well...
