Trouble Shifting

I am having a lot of difficulty shifting my automatic transmission into and out of gear. It takes way more muscle than it should. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, and if anyone has any tips on what it could be. Thanks for the help.

put it up on a lift and have someone

there should be a part under the dash on the steering column that has 2 torx screws the screws come loose check them, move the shifter while looking under the dash to find the part. if they are tight then get it looked at.
