H E L P !!

hoping somebody can help me here...
got a 98 f150 4x2 with the v6 4.2L
turn key and engine wont start, not even click but all else works. bridge the two terminals on the starter solenoid and the engine starts fine so i know its not the starter. replaced starter solenoid, didn't fix problem. replaced the ignition switch under the steering column, didn't fix problem. neutral safety switch on tranny also controls reverse lights. i just now realized i no longer have reverse lights so im thinking this is def the problem. replaced and still doesnt work and neither do the reverse lights??? the original neutral safety switch has 12 pins, the replacement only has 11. all the parts people say the part i bought is the right one even though it has 11 pins. #@$s% any help please
