4 wheel drive doesn't come on
Hi, when I turn the **** to 4 wheel high or low, nothing happens. It doesn't go into gear, nor any lights come on. This started happening a few days ago without any apparent reasons. Fuses look okay. Any ideas what causes this?

Good suggestion, but it didn't work, though. I tried it.
Any other suggestions? Does anyone know how to test the relays located in the engine compartment?

Fixed
I took the truck to a mechanic yesterday. He fixed it by jiggling an "electrical box". He didn't specify which one and I didn't ask.
They didn't even charge me for it.
So it's working now, you can hear the relay click and the drive slip into gear when the **** is turned to 4x4 high.

Does anyone have more info on what to do to correct this. And of equal importance what is the culprit of this problem. I just turned 37K miles and it happened to me for the first time...
The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I went to back out of my dirt driveway and found that my rear wheels were spinning and my front tires wouldn't engage. I looked at the dash and noticed that the 4x4 light wasn't on. I couldn't get it to go into 4x4 high or 4x4 low.
Of course I was in a spot where I needed the 4wd and ended up having to get towed up the driveway with a friends truck...at least it was a Ford that towed me out.
