allright, so heres the scenario. I get in the truck, put it in reverse to back out of my parking space and gently hit the gas. As I'm moving backwards, the truck goes in and out of gear with high revs in between jerks. I was applying a gentle constant pressure on the gas pedal so it wasn't me.
I have 35's on the truck and have reprogrammed the speedometer and odometer with a tirepaq that also adjusts shift points.
The other piece of info is that I had a similar problem before at 44,000 miles. I am now at 55,000 miles. My 1st and 2nd planetary gears broke due to metal particles in the transmission. A washer came loose and pieces got in between the gears wearing both of them out. The result was a truck that jumped into gear really hard jerking me forward.
Is my new problem a repeat of the old one, or is this something that I can easily fix?
And I don't know about you, but this is way to many transmission issues for a truck with under 60,000 miles on it.

And you think that your tires and modifications don't constitute any level of abuse that might have bearing on your repeat failure?
You might get lucky and it's low fluid, however, I smell another transmission repair coming your way.

no, not really. I just put tires and mods on it 3,000 miles ago. The first boo boo had nothing to do with mods. Ford actually paid for half of it. I noticed it start to act kinda funnky about 4,000 miles after it got fixed. It just started acting up again recently in the last month.
I baby this truck. engine never revs over 2100 rpm.

I never rev beyond 1800 rpm in my truck.
The highest I've ever had it was around 2600 rpms and that me screwing around with it in the first day to make sure the engine was ok... and it was a lively little thing.
