Leaking tranny lines

I've been swamped with moving and haven't had much time to get this fixed. This is on a 00 4.6 with no cooler. The lines right behind the radiator are leaking. Excuse my ignorance, what's the easiest fix, replacing the lines?

Is it just the rubber section leaking?

Exactly, just came in from cleaning it up and the leak is on the flexible side of the connection. I've never had to change lines like this, how are they connected? Guessing I'll just need a new flex line and I'm set?

Did you try tightening the clamps? if the rubber is in bad shape and you plan to keep the truck get them replaced as soon as possible. You really don't want to starve your tranny if the ATF is low due to a leak.

The rubber sections look to have crimped connectors where the rubber overlaps the line, I don't think I can tighten them. I did some searchin and found a thread suggesting rubber or neoprene lines and clamps.

Cut those crimps off with a cutoff tool. Be gentle don't get into the steel line. Ford is usually good about having a flare already. Go get some transmission hose (don't use fuel line it must be transmission) and some good hose clamps ( I suggest the wide stainless steel ones from home depot).

Well it's not the rubber hose. It's one of the metal lines that run parallel under the radiator. The rust is horrible and the fluid is finding its way through it. Now it looks like I need to replace that whole line. Dammit, had plans to move a few loads with it this weekend, but until it's fixed I'm down to one truck.

Get a good line bender, it won't cost much but it takes a while.
