Transmission problem ( No top gear)

Just bought 02 2wd supercrew Triton V8
It has 1st and 2nd but wont go into top gear just seems to go into neutral
If you turn off overdrive it will hold in gear
When truck is hot gearbox seems to shudder when pulling away.

Before this happend it seemed to be grabbing/binding when changing from 2nd to 3rd with bad shudder?

This truck was subject to a flood a few months back ???

Thanks

Well Rob, this isn't good. Neutraling out is the worst thing that can happen. It means that the direct clutch is kaput.

Time for a transmission rebuild or exchange.

Sorry.
