Transmission question?

Can you put an AOD in a 95 F150 or does it have to have the AODE or E40D. I am just wondering since I can get my hands on a pretty cheap AOD. The motor in the truck is a 302.

You'd be alot better off to keep the 4r70w.

Yes, Ford used the AOD behind the 5.0L for several years. The EEC will store codes for the missing 4R70W or E4OD, but it won't turn on the CEL since they're not emissions codes.
