Thump when stepping on gas

Hey fellas I have a little problem when I take off from a stop theres a clunk in either the tranny or the driveshaft. This problem only happens later in the day when the temps outside warmup. In the morning I can drive 40 miles and not have this problem.does anyone know whats going on?

sounds like worn u joints. the only doing it when its warm?? no clue. go under and grab the driveshaft and see how much play u have in the u joints. could be coming from your rear end. i get a small thump sometimes on my 97. check your rear end fluid make sure its full.
