Trans won't shift.....and Idle's too high?!?!!??

I have a 2002 F150 Supercrew with an auto trans in it. When I put it in drive it stays in first gear and will not shift. If you move the shift from drive to 2, it will shift to 2nd but never to 3rd...or any other gear. No-matter what you do with the shifter.

When I come to a stop it feels like it is still trying to pull away and drive, way more than usual. I mean you really got stay on the brake to hold it back.

Also when I shift to Neutral or Park, the RPM's go up to about 2500, and won't come down if you push the gas or anything like that.......so any thoughts on what it might be.

even crazier sh*t...so I rode my bike to work. When I got home I went right to my truck. Put the key in and it started right up....I then proceeded to drive it down the highway....IN ALL THE GEARS. So ya I dunno what's going on, but this has happened before and it's reallly annoying.
