4x4 rear wheel problem

I have a 2006 f150 4x4 and when I engaged the 4x4 hi this weekend, while backing up and turning left the LH rear wheel was dragging, put the truck in drive and when I turned left again the LH rear wheel dragged. i have driven 4x4 before but they had manual shifters this has the switch on the dash or what could it be that would cause this, thanks in advance
