how much fluid

I am going to drop my pan, replace my filter and drain the torque converter this weekend on my 2004 F-150 4x4.

Any idea on how much fluid I need to buy? I think the capacity is 13 quarts total. I am thinking about 6 or 7 maybe??

Any help?>

I'm thinking about 7 in the pan and 6 in the torque converter.

PS-There isn't a drain in the torque converter after the 2001 model year.

Really? I thought I read last night that the somewhere like 01 or 03 was the change... I guess I read it backwards.... Oh well. Som fluid change is better than none.

You really think about 6 quarts in the pan.. I was thinking more along the lines of 3..

See how much comes out. I'm betting on 6-7.

Changing all of the fluid is a good thing, much better than just what's in the pan. Use this to change all of the fluid:
