Exclamation Manual Transmission Glitches???

I have a 2000 F150 XL V6 with a 5spd manual transmission. When letting off the clutch in 1st and 2nd gear there is this rattling vibration until I get up to a certain rpm. I dont have a tachometer so I'm not quite sure what rpm that is, and then every time I shift into third and let off the clutch it there is a slight "crack" and it sounds and feels like the gear is catching on something for a split second. I'm fairly new to standard cars, but I'm pretty sure this isn't quite normal. Is it the clutch or something to do with the transmission itself?

Howdy and welcome!

What's the mileage on your M5OD-R2? I've never had one "rattle/crack", but but could be the clutch and/or slave cylinder.

Send a message via ICQ to JMC
Check the engine and transmission mounts.

Hey JMC, what are the weak points in the M5OD-R2 as far as towing?
