I have done some searching and cant seem to find much info on a shift kit for 04+ F-150's. Being that its the same basic 4r70 design i dont know why someone wouldnt be making a shift kit..... But im no expert. Can anyone enlighten me?

 

I believe that you dial them in with a programmer, no need for a shift kit any more.

 

Exactly. Since trannies are all electronic now, you just tweak them with a tuner. No more messing with the valve bodies, or solenoids. It's awesome.

 

Well yeah, i see what your saying. But is there really no good old fashioned mechanical shift kits?

 

Factory Tech's valve body for the 4R70W will work with the newer '04+. Making for harder and faster shifts all around,

 

Yes, there is. It's custom tuning. Why install mechanical parts when you can do it through computers? I'm running the XCAL2 with TP tuning, and the shifting is MUCH improved. Call up Troyer. You'll be very happy with some tuning as these trucks are just sloppy from the factory.
