Shudder
I have a friend with a 2002 F150 with the 330ci 5.4 engine. 109.000 miles. Very occasionally he gets a shake and vibration when pulling away from a standstill. I've checked all the motor and trans mounts and all around the rear end and everything looks tight and good. The noise comes from under the cab so I'm thinking it could be trans related, I've checked the fault codes and everything is clear, so I don't think it's a misfire. It appears to be a little worse if he tows a trailer. Hope someone out there can help??

Welcome scary,
Does this occur accelerating when the wheels are pointing in the same direction?
Does this occur when vehicle is turning right or left?
My 98 did the same thing for long time , I thought it was converter shudder or that my trans was going bad - I even pulled the trans at one time . Ended up being the clutchpack in my LS rearend.
It was felt the most when turning right ..
