<<Transmission Coolers>> 2003F150

I have a friend who just bought a 03 Screw w/o the Towing Package. He's not real mechanically Inclined and isnt sure what a Tran'sCooler looks like. I havent seen the truck myself, but I know my 04 Screw 4.6 w/o the towing package came from the factory with a Trans-Cooler already installed,

So the question is this...... Did the 03's come from the factory with Transmission Cooler already installed like the 04's?

Thanks In Advance!
Tom

Not sure whether it has the factory tranny cooler on that particular truck or not, but if he's going to be doing any type of heavy hauling or towing, or even if he intends to drive it pretty hard, it would be a very good idea to add an after market tranny cooler. You can do anything from spending around $50 for a cooler you can buy from your local auto parts store all the way up to spending $200-$300 on a cooler with an electric fan on it. It just depends on how the truck is going to be used.
One thing is for sure though, adding a supplemental transmission cooler will significantly increase the lifespan of the transmission in that truck.--DIY
