4R70W Questions

On the shaft comming out of the transmission, how much "play" should it have? We removed the old tail shaft housing, and the shaft has a little bit of play...not much. I was told it shouldnt have ANY, and it will have a little. Which is correct?

I keep breaking tail-shafts, and Im trying to figure out why....

You don't need to double-post your questions. Keep it all in the other thread.

Unless its about the transmission, Keep you comments to yourself. Two different forums means more potential help.

There is no measurement for this, the shaft is aligned by the yoke which is held in place by the bushing. If the yoke and bushing get damaged enough the shaft will destroy the direct clutch.
