Too much oil

Too much oil

What happens when you put too much oil in the trans, letīs say a quart or two. ?

It can cause foaming as the crankshaft hits the oil. Foaming means improper lubrication of parts.
How much oil was put in? You have the 5.4, so it should be 7 quarts.

OOps, I forgot to specify itīs transmission oil. Sorry... The trans is a 4R75E

1 quart too much youll probably be alright. any more id drain it. are you checking it when its warmed up?? going thru all the gears? on level ground?? its not like checking regular engine oil.

I am checking it in park, engine idling and warm. Level is above the crossmarks like a half an inch or so. I probably worry too much...
