1994 f250 4x4 transmission prob

Truck has about 200K,.all orig..5.8l ....manual 5spd..has the ZF trans..when changing gears, unless rpm's are below 1800...it grinds a little,,to me it sounds like synchronizers..also hearing possible clutch master cyl...thoughts???

Check the fluid level in your CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER. Don't forget to remove the rubber cup under the top of your master cylinder lid, it just lays under there. If it's low, your slave cylinder is probably leaking. Don't be too alarmed if it's low you can probably just add a little fluid from time to time and run it a long time that way.

Concentric slaves are known for leaking, but early ZFs with that type of slave were also known to crack the front cover of the trans.
