Howdy and welcome!

It has been known for the two small wires coming out of the shifter tube behind the steering wheel to break, also, I believe there is a fuse for the button.

Pull the cover off from under the steering column and look at the wires coming out of the shifter to see if they are ok.

Been there, done that.
The cable wires are small and rub on metal shifter hardware.
I fixed the wires, insulated them and re routed so they are not close to the metal when they move.
There is a fuse that supplies this function and some others like the seat belt chime that you may have not noticed is missing, yet.
If you need to know which fuse, let us know.

I am off tomorrow, I will take a look at the wires and fuses. I replaced the button, and it still ain't working. I hope is just the wires.

Thanks for the help, I will let you know if it works.

Respectfully, if a fuse is taken out so the OD doesnot work, they don't know what they are doing.
Why is any after market installation doing this?
At least use a special fuse tap for an extra circuit supply and protection.
You like losing Over Drive for something like this?
