accidentally added a quart of type F to my c6

I just topped off my '82 c6 trans with a quart of type F. Will this hurt anything? I will be changing the fluid soon. Thanks for any advice.

The c6 will hold up to just about anything. I doubt it will hurt it.

I'm pretty sure ive put it in my 82 bronco when it was all i had.

Talking thanks to all....

Strange enough, the dipstick specifies type F, but I think someone must have changed the stick before I got it. The trans has E2, for '82. Thanks again for all of the replies.

No worries, I believe 77 was the changeover from F to Mercon, but one quart isn't significant.

FYI : Type "F" carries higher specs across the board than Dexron II. You can use Type "F" in a trans requiring Dexron, but not the other way around.

That ol' C-6 can stand just about anything... Heck, you're talking 1 quart out of probably what? 16 or so total system capacity? As everyone mentioned, that dinosaur would probably run on canola oil if it had to!
