Question Cruise Control run aground

Last week I was driving to work and pressed my cruise control and tried to set speed, the light "cruise" would flash but not engage? I have already had the recalled part replaced....any ideas?

It's quite possible that your replacement switch is failing too. (although they don't spontaneously combust). Check Steve's diagnostic thread, and go from there. We've been seeing a rash of bad contacts in teh replacement switches. Apparently they're getting fuzzy for some reason... we're working on them here in our lab.

Please search for 'Cruise COntrol Recall' and you'll have more than enough info. Please have the recall performed ASAP. The short version is that the old part can cause a fire.
