What gears should be in my truck?

98 4x4 f150 5.4 with towing package. What gears should i have in rear end?

If it was the stock Class III towing package, 3.55s. Look at the axle code however to see for sure on the door jam sticker. Also that will tell if limited slip or not.

You also should have a duel core rad and an extra tranny cooler..

Just look up the axle code on your driver's door sticker and look it up. It's here on the site somewhere.

This will eliminate all the guessing, which won't get you anywhere.

this was a work truck from my step dads company that builds roads in florida! need bigger tires. Ipicked it up for $3,000 he just replaced all ball joints and hubs b4 i got it

I can see the insides of the stock rims in the pic - I know it's clean..
