After driving it for at least 15 miles or more . Leave it running and put it in park on a somewhat level surface. While running shift slowly to each gear all the way down to first (1) and slowly back to park (while your truck is running) Then check your trans fluid on the dipstick to make sure you have the proper amount on the full warm line on the stick.

You get an accurate reading when checked this way..Try that first and post back..

Hold on here first. The C6's vacuum modulator on the passenger side is a cheap and easy part to replace first. Also could be as simple as the vacuum line from the manifold to the modulator dryrotted or fell off.

I'd be suprised if you managed to kill a C6.

Pull out the transmission dipstick and smell the fluid on the bottom of the dipstick. If it doesn't smell burnt, there's hope. Don't try to drive it, unless your sure there's enough fluid in it.

How does the tranny's vacuum line look?
