You really want a total rebuild with great pictures - I got it on file - super great photo's of the process. I needed them when taking mine apart. I haven't orginized in awhile so I'll have to look for it - I will if you really want it . It's from a diesel websight of all thing , but they did a rebuild like this one.

Heres a pick from it -It's an E4OD build if that's what your looking for to many picks to list , you can find it and alot more good stuff at that website, like lifts etc..

ehh bad news.. the reason i was having these problems was because my 3rd gear lip seal blew out and 3rd was not getting any fluid and was over heating vibrating and eating away at the case, i told my builder just put it back together ill probably be buying a new one in a year anyways. but hopefully it will likely last another 60,000 miles.

What happens while driving it - you leave it in D ,goes from 2n to OD while driving her on the e-way or do you turn OD off and 2nd is your high gear?

Sucks nursing a trans- I still don't know whats up with mine - Forwad clutch and spun the stator or converter shutter, Amsoiled , a little 140/90 and dr tranny . It still heats up enough to shudder at take off very little tho. I found a used one in the next town for $800 , but idunno - hard decision to make.

Good Luck with it , hope you make it - It's not your daily driver though , I doubt you'll go the 60 before you do something with it.
