my rear transmission seal blew out

Angry my rear transmission seal blew out

This is the second time my seal have blown out of my 2001 suppercrew. Can anyone till me what wrong or if thy having the same problem.

is it the seal at the back of the transfer case???or do you have 2wd?

i just did mine few months ago. i have 4wd model.did you put it in or someone else??have to make sure its in there all the way. a big socket and a hammer.just make sure it goes in straight and all the way in. make sure the seal bore is clean also. take some brake or carb cleaner and wipe it clean

Make sure the part of the driveshaft or hub where the seal rubs is very smooth, no nicks etc...

If it's the second time I'd check for mainshaft play and yolk wear.One or the other .Possibly one leading to the other.
