Question 1994 Transmission

I have a 1994 F150 4x4 w/auto transmission. Wondering how I can tell which transmission I have. Isn't there a way to tell by researching the VIN?

Thanks,

jw

All your answers are cleverly located at the top of this very forum and can be found via the code on your door jam sticker

Back one page from here....

https://www.f150online.com/forums/transmissions-25/

Then the sticky at the top of the page....

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=211867

Where you will find that E is for the E4OD.
