Overdrive off light

Took a ride upstate to do some bowhunting. About an hour into the trip at 60 to70 mph the overdrive off light starts flashing on and off.I pulled over and checked the trans fluid,aok.Trans filter and fluid changed 2k ago with mecon5. Shut truck off,let sit 5min.,restart and drive,no more light flashing.This is second time this has happend.4r70w trans.

A flashing OD light means something is wrong with the transmission. When the light flashes a code is stored in the computer's memory. It will stay there even if the light stops flashing.

Next time it happens get the code read within a few days. Then we can diagnose what's wrong.
