Hard shifting update

After taking my truck to ford they told me that after pulling the codes from the transmission locking it's self into safe mode was the Torque converter had slipped and that it more than lickly needed replaced. My question is that with 117,000 miles on my E4OD trans should I just replace the Converter or shoud I replace the entire trans?

Also according to ford I need to replace my ABS module after pulling the cluster they tested it and found it to be bad. They said parts were 250 bucks. Anyone have a trany or ABS module that they are looking to sell? Also how hard is the ABS module to change?

Just do the converter. However, when converter is out, do front seal, and fluid change.(make sure they pull the pan and change the filter) Personally, I'd get a second opinion. It's possible all of your problems could be solved with a fluid/ filter change.
As for the ABS, was your light on? Or did they screw it up and now they want you to pay for it?

The ABS light has been on for a long while now just didn't know what is wrong with it until ford ran the codes and then they pulled the dash ans ran each wire to each wheel and found all hubs to be fine and the module was bad.
