Angry Tans Fault

Just had my '04 Screw with 13K miles towed to the dealer this weekend after it refused to go over 35MPH on the highway. I WAS doing 70 but then started to slow and couldn't keep pace with traffic. The engine would rev but would not transfer power to the drivetrain over 35 or 40 mph. I had a blinking O/D indicator and a TRANS FAULT message on the message center display.

Of course, the dealer took the car for a test drive Monday and it worked fine (no problems) for them. They only had it up to 45mph. They said there were a number of fault codes in the computer but because there were so many and they were conflicting as to the cause, they couldn't pinpoint the issue. They say they need the disgnostic computer hooked up while the errors are generated before they can pinpoint the issue. I asked them to take it out on the highway and see if they can reproduce at 70mph, but I haven't heard back yet.

This is the 10th time I have had this truck in for warranty work in the last 2 years. Many times for intermittent vibes that the dealer cannot reproduce. I have also had the clutchpacks replaced, 3 air-conditioner services as well as a previous transmission fault ( internal wiring harness ) replaced.

Any suggestions (clean) would be appreciated.

I would look into the lemon law and see if you can get your self a new truck.
