Help!!! Small Filter in Trans Pan, where does it go??

I am in the process right now of putting on the Factory tech Seperatpr plate. I am putting it back toghether and can not figure out where this small filter goes. I am guessing aroung the dipstick tube, but want to be sure. I have a 2002 5.4 Supercrew.

its a plug used to plug the dipstick tube when the truck is built.

if this is it then throw it away.

Got thAT ONE OUT OF THE WAY, I WAS GOING TO ASK ABOUT THAT TOO.

I WAS ACTUALLY REFERING TO A SMALL BLACK CONE SHAPED FILTER. IT LOOKS LIKE IT GOES BETWEEN THE VAVLE BODY AND THE TRANSMISSION. THATS WHEN IT CAME OUT. I PUT IT BACK OVER A FLUID EXIT IN THE REAR OF THE TRANSMISSION BODY. IT HAS A NON SQUARE BASE WITH A CONE SHAPED FILTER. IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS A FILTER FOR A DISCHARE HOLE FROM THE TRANS.?????? IT FIT PERFECT, FLUSH BETWEEN THE VALVE BODY AND THE TRANS. IT WAS A LITTLE TOUGH TO GET IT IN BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO HOLD IN IT PLACE WHILE YOU RAISE THE TRANS. LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS THAT THIS IS RIGHT

THANKS
