75,000 on trans. Never changed fluid

I have 75,000 on mine now. It's a 2000 2wd. I hear so many different things on whether to change it or not. If you have high mileage and never changed it you are better off not changing it. I have never towed with it. According to the maintance manual I should have changed it twice now. Should I change it?

yep, change it

I've been always taught that at 70,000 miles you change the filter if you don't do any pulling or drive abusively, but it's probably time.

Send a message via AIM to StngStr
you'd probably benefit from a fluid and filter change, but not a flush.

Do your transmission and your wallet a favor and forget everything you know about being "better off not changing it". You should change it and pray that you haven't damaged it.
