Odd Clunk Noise 4r70w

Well i have a 2000 f150 Harley truck and has 40,000 miles on it. in the last month i have ran into a clunk issue on my truck when i put it into reverse sometimes it is when i put it right into gear and sometimes it is when i give it a little gas when i am backing up. my first thought was u joints checked them and not it. so i was told that my ball joints will make that noise when they unload in reverse. changed them. they where bad but not the problem. now i still have it and is making me nervous to drive it. i heard that it could be the tailshaft on the end of the trans if the seal or baring is going out or is out of it. has anyoen encountered this problem?? thanks

For a long list of quick information, search the term "slip yoke" in the "transmission" section.
