Exclamation no clutch, hard pedal

got a 97 f150 4.6 4x4. clutch was slipping a lil, replaced everything including master and slave cylinders. now i have a HARD pedal and NO clutch. No air in system. any suggestions

could be that something is binding in the clutch fork or somewhere. look everywhere.

Didn't cross the lines when hooking the master and slave back up did you? That's just a guess. It's been a really long time since I did one of those. Otherwise If you have no clutch and a hard pedal maybe the master cylinder you got was no good or the slave is bound up. When you say no clutch do you mean when you shove it in it is still engauged?

Just a couple suggestions.

i fixed it. ford parts manager gave me the wrong slave cyl./release bearing. thankx for everyone`s responce.

I would have killed someone - did you actually have to yank the thing apart a second time. I just got done with this job and i would have had serious heartache if i had to do it twice.
